Don’t fall in Love with me-

Don’t fall in Love with me-

Don’t fall in love with me she said-
I shine too bright,
I burn too fast,
My embers and flames,
Are tortuous beyond sight;
Don’t fall in love with me she said-
I am jagged at the edges,
Holed in the middle,
All shades of dark surround me,
My smile would be your nightmare.
Don’t fall in love with me she said-
My smile would trap your frail heart,
And I’ll leave you hanging,
It’s a curse, it’s the truth,
I’m a hard face to get rid off;

And fall in love with her he did-
You’re tough, I’m tougher
You’re scarred, I’m broken
You’re grey, I’m a dark vault
Your nightmares would be appealing.
And fall in love with her he did-
It’s a curse, it’s the truth
I’d love to Marry you;
If you do, leave me hanging,
It’d be a pleasure to be left
Hanging by you.

Of a broken heart…

Of a broken heart…

image

And she wondered how one heals, from a broken heart. What if the pieces flutter to a far away land? What if the holes burnt deep, fibrous and scar? What If the saying was right, love lost can’t be back? Under the glistening moon, her reflection stared back. And the memories storm bringing moist to her eyes. And she cursed at herself for falling for a man, whose heart was incapable of loving back.

And she wondered how one heals from a broken heart? How a one sided love could make one feel alive? How a person could crush her without even trying? How she broke all her rules falling for that one wrong guy? How reality could be, so cruel to her side? How she knew but didn’t say No the very first time? How she let her heart lead her straight to it’s down fall? How all shades of wrong could feel so right at the same time?

The face in the river, she didn’t recognize. She yearned for the innocence of her past life; where love was a stranger and her heart was intact; life dealt her a blow from which she still shuddered. She fell for an angel, in the blink of an eye; forgetting every coin has got two sides. Now she sits at the bank wondering, how to heal from a broken heart.

Cycle of broken hearts

Cycle of broken hearts

One at a time it slowly
Shattered;
Falling to the ground in noiseless
Sound
to the ears of the outsiders but-
To her’s,
It was the loudest and harshest sound
She heard.
All at once it banged with
Resonance,
Filling the void that was now-
Her heart;
She felt the emptiness more so
Now,
Than she’d ever felt in her
Entire life.

Life is a cycle of broken
Hearts,
When one gets Mend another
Shatters;
Till all of the innocents hearts have
Felt,
What it feels like to be dead yet
Alive;
But maybe that’s the way it
Should be,
So we can learn to heal each
Other’s path;
Though “broken” isn’t the greatest heart
Adjective,
It beats a lot out of a-
Locked-up heart.

Be Wary Of The Stale-Hearted

Be Wary Of The Stale-Hearted

It’s not about being afraid,
Anymore-
That ship has long sailed;
It’s more about being cautious,
Of this world-
And the hearts now gone stale.

I remember being one,
Of the gals-
Innocent and naive;
It took me up by storm,
Whirlwind love-
The ultimate price, my heart paid.

I’m not broken, maybe bent;
A little wiser, maybe fierce;
But i’ve learned, do not mess-
With the stale hearted men;
They’re too broken,
To Be mend.

Hold your hearts, dear innocents-
You’re too precious to be messed
