Toxic Friendship-

Toxic Friendship-

image

They are part of a history
You wish to forget;
But You hear they say sane ones,
Don’t give up on friends;
Even when they turn toxic,
Or flames burn too bright;
When their convos deplete
Your energy and you tire.

Friends are forever
A Bond that shouldn’t die;
So you trudge through the day
While they drain out your life;
And their words sting as toxins
But you still fake a smile;
Cause “you don’t give up on friends”
So we’re taught
And thus we grow-
With the concept that toxins,
Aren’t harmful to our lives;
If we’ve known them for too long,
They can only bite.

But you’ve grown
and you’ve changed
And you write words in rhymes;
And you’ve met friends
Who’ve shown you
Your light, now you shine.
Keep them
At arms length-
The toxins of the past;
You’re not giving up
On friendship
Just taking charge of your life.

The universe raged-

The universe raged-

image

The waves raged,
Against the shore;
The earth crackled,
To exult it’s force;
Thunder roaring,
At crack of light;
The universe in uproar,
At your demise.

They raged for you-
Your light, dimmed;
Growling fiercely,
In different manners;
I pled to you,
rage against death;
The universe answered,
And raged instead.

The wind howled,
Tree leaves shuddered;
Rain fall splattered,
In angry retort;
The universe begged
For you to fight;
A final glance,
I knew you were gone.
The universe roared…

Her: The intricate puzzle

Her: The intricate puzzle

image

She had never been whole. She was a collage of uniquely designed pieces. With each person she trusted, she gave a piece. With each one she loved, she gave a piece. They never really knew her, only the pieces she let them see.

Some were handed a glimpse of her childhood, stories of her pranks; some her laughter, the events which made her smile; a few, her passions- the pieces which lit her eyes; a minute, she gave her sorrows, the memories that tug at her heart.

And some, she swore to take her grave, the pieces no one knew she had. The dark patches, the mystery behind who she was. She thought it a burden to lay it on people; she could barley handle it, how could they. Those pieces she kept close to her.

Those dark pieces, were the borders of the intricately designed puzzle of “her” without which she could never really be figured.

And she smiled knowing, although soon enough, the abnormal cells within her would win, the pieces she left with the ones she loved would illuminate her memories. She gave them the light she needed them to see.

Each person a different piece, a different memory, a different reflection of history, a different light. She was a uniquely designed puzzle.

Sometimes,
The strength within you,
is not a big fiery flame
For all to see.
It is just a tiny spark
That whispers,
Every so softly.
“You got this. Keep going.”

I wish I could find the person who penned this wonderful and inspiring words. But alas, try as much as I can with my little internet skills, I couldn’t find anywhere, the author of this quote. Nonetheless, I want to say thank you to “the author”, you have no idea how many times this quote has uplifted me.

Send the love-

Send the love-

image

Send the love on,
Pass it forth;
Shine the light-
Onwards;
Make it last,
However long;
Just a glimpse?
It’s enough.

Send the love on,
Spread the torch;
Let the rays-
Sprinkle on;
Oh you’re broken?
That’s okay,
Makes the beam shine-
Even more.

Send the live on,
Pass it forth;
Broken fragments-
Seep-in more.
Reflecting unto,
Nooks and crannies;
Spreading love forth-
Even more.

Writing my final exams today and after that “Comment reply galore” :D. This is  me apologizing for the un-replied comments and for missing out on reading some of your wonderful posts these past few days.

Let the Light-

Let the Light-

image

When you can’t feel your legs,
Numb and held in a sweat;
Mini shivers from the head,
Fetal position in bed;
Whispers swirling round and round,
Blurry Vision, fading out;
There was a time, roses bloomed;
Legs were dancing walking moon;
Hands would grasp strawberry juice;
Beds were home to girls in blue;
Mini victories brought on smile,
Friends would always understand.

Dwell in those thoughts for a while;
Fight the darkness with your mind;
Force the joy till it becomes-
Part of you, reflex rebound;
Let the light seep through the thoughts,
Embrace the joy that you’ll become;
There’s only so long night can stay
Before outshone by the sun’s rays.
And though each rose has got a thorn,
Roses are still very much loved.

When I was sixteen…

When I was sixteen…

When I was sixteen, I wrote this poem 😀

How did I get here?
To the point of no return;
Where everything’s so gloomy and doomed,
With paths yet to be formed.

Without even a ray of light,
I feel so forlorn;
My hearts become as cold as Ice-
My soul, withering inside.

Glaring up at the sky at night,
Expecting to see stars;
But things are as dark as can be,
Silence being the ultimate sound.

No really, how did I get here?
I ask myself again;
Recalling all those times I spent,
In warmth and happiness.

I’ve got to let go of these ropes,
That keep holding me back;
Then run as fast as my legs can-
Far away, from this damn.

Then maybe if I get lucky,
I’ll find that beam of light;
My heart would melt but be intact-
My soul would come alive.

This Time Around…

This Time Around…

I strayed and forgot
My purpose in life;
But oh dear God,
I am willing to try;
And find that light
Which’s eluded my sight;
To gain your pleasure-
A place in your castle high.

This time I will strive
With every bone in my might;
Strain my eyes,
For a hint of the light;
Find my path and
Gloriously stride;
Thwart the thorns,
Keeping my eyes on the prize-
A place In your castle high
