Imprisoned without shackles-

They say,
If you’ve been a bride’s maid,
For five times or more,
It’s time to quit weddings,
Till your Prince Charming comes.

They say,
If you’ve been a wife,
For ten years with no son,
Bundle your things for,
A new woman to come.

They say,
If your husband’s riches,
lesson after you arrive;
Then oh wife you have black feet,
And must leave his house.

They say,
If your child is smart,
Well, his dad is to be praised,
If the child turns out faulty,
‘Course, you are to blame.

They say,
A housewife you must be,
With no wealth of your own,
And if your husband passes,
They take away your home.

They make living hard,
Making rules without regard;
Leaving women imprisoned,
Without shackles to leave marks.

D- Don’ts of Men

D- Don’ts of Men

image.jpeg

He was born at a time when society,
Considered men a different specie;
Higher in grade and superior,
Than those with xx in their genes.

He was fed with things he shouldn’t do,
The don’ts which would make him a man-
Crying when hit, playing with dollies,
They were beneath his command.

He was born at a time when society,
Imposed on him right from the start;
Displaying emotions was weakness,
And strength was a sign of men’s pride.

He was broken before realizing it,
I fell in love with a broken man;
Who’s sole fault- being born at a time,
When emotions were bottled inside.

He was born at time when society,
Imposed on men, as it still does today;
And if I’ve learnt anything from the past,
It’d be to raise my son, simply human;
Regardless of society’s enforcements…

Let the Light-

Let the Light-

image

When you can’t feel your legs,
Numb and held in a sweat;
Mini shivers from the head,
Fetal position in bed;
Whispers swirling round and round,
Blurry Vision, fading out;
There was a time, roses bloomed;
Legs were dancing walking moon;
Hands would grasp strawberry juice;
Beds were home to girls in blue;
Mini victories brought on smile,
Friends would always understand.

Dwell in those thoughts for a while;
Fight the darkness with your mind;
Force the joy till it becomes-
Part of you, reflex rebound;
Let the light seep through the thoughts,
Embrace the joy that you’ll become;
There’s only so long night can stay
Before outshone by the sun’s rays.
And though each rose has got a thorn,
Roses are still very much loved.

WordPress.. Problem … Help!!!

WordPress.. Problem … Help!!!

Is it just me? I haven’t been able to post comments on peoples blogs throughout today. I write a comment and Post it, but then, the comment section still appears blank showing me that I haven’t sent anything. I have to re-type the comment and send it again (and it still doesn’t appear) 😦

I have tried commenting on different blogs and posts but it just wouldn’t appear. I would to apologize to everyone for being AWOL from your blogs, it’s all wordpress’ fault (yeah, I’m blaming them). So if you see a like, I’m sorry, it’s not that I haven’t tried commenting but it just wouldn’t appear.

Does anyone know how I could signify for wordpress to fix this (if possible). Thanks 🙂  Also, I can reply to comments on my post, I just can’t post comment on others. And this is not my doing at all 😉

And so i’ve decided,
To give up this war;
Surrender the battle,
Lay down the gaunt;
Rescue my body,
From blaze of harsh words;
Safeguard the temple,
That was at the end of my sword.

Dear body its over-
I’m done, I was wrong;
You are to be cherished,
And not destroyed;
Maybe it’s not too late
For us to be one;
A mind and a soul-
A body in tone.
Life is too short,
For us to be at war.
