The first time we spoke
Was April,
The day you were born,
Was in April,
The last time we spoke,
Was March,
The day I was born,
Was in March.
My Lord- He kept giving
Signs,
It was over before
It began,
But I clutched on to ropes,
Walking blind,
For he, who was
Never mine.
And I spiralled,
And I crashed,
And I burned,
It was March.
And my Lord,
With his infinite mercy,
Picked me up,
Despite my rebellion.
It Is April,
And spring has arrived,
With His mercy,
healing my cracks,
The one, who’s got my back-
Always.
Surprise! I figured ehh, it’d be nice to try the April A-Z challenge once again this year, to make up for my embarrassing unofficial quitting at letter D last year. (Hopefully this year I’ll fare better.) what to expect? I haven’t chosen a theme, but most probably, poetry and prose from letter A-Z. Let’s see how far I can go this year. Here is my last year’s post for letter A: Absolute Day
Love it! Especially the end, “with HIS mercy, healing my cracks, The one, who’s got my back.” <3!
Look forward to you doing this challenge, you will make it this year! 🙂

Thank you very much Sona. I’m being hopeful this year too. Would you be participating?

I was very tempted to participate, Ameena, but I am doing the Camp Nano this month. I still need to polish the first draft that I created last year in Nanowrimo.

Oh yes, I remember. All the very best and happy editing. I hear it’s not exactly the most fun thing.

This left me with tears. I just did something like this and I am still in recovery stage. this resonates. ❤

I’m so sorry to hear that Rosema. This poem was inspired by something similar which happened last year in April, (as the poem). It’s one year now, and I can tell you it gets better 💕💕💕
