I chase the things,
I cannot have,
I want the things,
Out of my grasp….
For all my life, i’ve been this way.

I hide my truth,
Behind a smile,
I write to live,
Bleeding inside,
For all my life, i’ve been this way.

I love- beyond,
Limits and bounds,
I give my all,
Emptying out,
For all my life, i’ve been this way.

For all my life,
I’ve lived not thrived,
Watered my loves,
And wilted out,
I was this way, for all my life
It’s time to change, for the life I can have…

  1. I married one of the most beautiful people that ever existed. Everyone knew that about her….except her. She only saw her faults. So many of us dwell on faults instead of what we have to give. Your writing is lovely. It is in the giving of our talents that shows us our worth. Give yourself and be fulfilled. Believe in yourself and your life will be full.

  9. It is late in my life – and I am at a very painful turning point – facing things and making changes – I really needed this today. I want to tattoo this part on my arm LOL
