Of Sadness-

Of Sadness-

image

She spoke to the wind,
When then sun went to sleep;
Of the places on earth,
She was yearning to see;
In the hopes it would whisper-
“Come along wee lassie”
And scoop her away,
To the land of her dreams.

She found her home weary,
And dreaded each dawn;
She sought for escape,
In the arms of a new home;
For sadness she thought,
Was a thing she could leave;
Till she moved miles from home,
But still felt it within.
