“Awww, did you- did you see that!”, Cam exclaimed to her brother, clutching her purse tightly as an emotional scene played out across the street from them.

A young man who looked to be in his late twenties, dressed in dirty camouflage had his arms wrapped around a black healthy looking dog. The dog’s tail wagged excitedly and his happy “woofs” could be heard from a distance. The military dressed man rubbed the dog all over in an affectionate manner and the dog was only too pleased to be spoiled by his master.

Cam stood rooted at the scene and her eyes looked as if the tears would drip down any moment. Her brother had to pull her forward saying “come on, we’re gonna be late”.

One last look at the man and dog and she made up her mind.
“Be a dear and hold my purse”, Cam pleaded to her brother. Seeing his questioning looks, she added,
“I’m just going over there to introduce myself to your future brother in-law”.
