Someone like you-

Someone like you-

Show me- the parts of you,
Living in- the depth of wounds;
The scars hidden from all to see,
Show me your soul, your zeal to live-
For there is someone like you, in me.

Save the small talks and pleasantries,
Speak to me of- the thoughts that keep;
Those memories- which haunt your dreams,
The galaxies you’ll love to visit-
For there Is someone like you, in me.

When the miles, our worlds divide,
And vocalization wouldn’t suffice;
Read the words, with my heart I write,
And know Alone- you’ll never have to fight.
For there is someone like you..

  1. This is like every poet’s thoughts. lol We always go deeper than the surface. From the first stanza, I was hooked.

    “Show me- the parts of you,
    Living in- the depth of wounds;
    The scars hidden from all to see,
    Show me your soul, your zeal to live-
    For there is someone like you, in me.”

    I mean the feels in this is off the charts! Love it!

  2. “For there is someone like you….(in me)”. What wonderful reinforcement that we should never feel alone. A reinforcement that “you and I” are really not much different. A reinforcement that however different we may be on the outside, on the inside we have so much in common. A lovely piece Ameena. I loved it. πŸ™‚

    1. I think no one should ever have to feel alone. It used to be a relief, finding out that there was someone who finally had a trait that was previously unique to Me. We are more alike than Unalike πŸ˜„. Thank you!

  3. Boy, ain’t you a charmer with your words of deepness. I am here thinking if Ameena send this to a chap she likes, he would be besides himself, hehe :P. Excuse my liberties on this one. P.S I notice you change your theme, it is nice and “scrollable”

    1. Hahaha, no chap to send it to unfortunately πŸ™ˆ. Yeah, I was still in the midst of changing when my internet connections went crapoy and so I was stuck with this theme. I still haven’t decided if I would keep it or not, what do you think. This or the good ‘ol previous? I’m not that good with change πŸ˜€

      1. No worries about thr chap he will come along in due time. I like both themes for your blog but I prefer the other one simply because I got use to it :). If you wonder how your readers think on it and you want their input, you could do a poll. It is all up to you.

  4. Hey Ameena, what a brilliant poem. That’s literally my mind when I think of the people I love. I want them to share all of their thoughts. Each and every kind of them. Because I’m human too. And I want them to know that I will understand.
    It satisfies my soul when I understand people… I don’t know what that makes me, but I guess I’m more like a listener kind of a person.
    Amazing poem ❀
    Also, I like that miniature slide show of pictures on the side. It's very positive πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you very much Hiba. I know right! I’m like, save the small talks, I also love when people talk to me about things they feel truly and deeply about. And you know, a listener is the best kinda person to be πŸ˜‰.
      I’ve been changing the blog’s theme and style all week, still in the process. So I’m glad you like the gallery. Tho I’ve got to update it πŸ˜„

  5. This is a beautiful poem, Ameena. πŸ™‚ Deep conversations are the best type to have! The meeting of two minds is a wonderful thing. ‘For there is someone like you, in me.’ Perfect . πŸ™‚

  6. The beginning was a wowiee.. I literally opened my eye wide at it. What are you? Really. You bring in so much depth in just a couple of words. I feel proud Ameena. I could not help but decorate my blog with a reblog. Loved it.. ❀ πŸ™‚
