She fought with the masters,
And fought with the kings;
Fought with the lords and
Their pride- at their feet.
She stomped at the market,
And yelled at their heels;
She cried till the cock’s crowing-
Silenced her will.
She planted her feet In-
The soil of the land;
Pretended the taunts and
Their jeers didn’t impact.
She spoke for her daughter,
And fought for her right;
Dressed up like a woman-
She silenced the man,
She stood with dignity,
Addressing the mass;
A woman, a mother-
And she won her right.
