You, I

You, I

image

I loved, you lied;
I fell, sunk deep;
You watched, wide eyed-
And bare-ly blinked;
I swam, somehow-
From the shallow brinks;
I almost drowned,
And you, seemed pleased.

But that’s okay,
I fought somehow;
The shore, welcomed-
my arrival;
I almost drowned,
You bare-ly blinked;
I’ve found my ground,
You don’t seem pleased;
Well now to me-
You’re history.

  1. Beautiful ! I love the last lines in particular
    I’ve found my ground,
    You don’t seem pleased;
    Well now to me-
    You’re history…. ‘

    And that is exactly how it should be…strong girl ❀

  2. You go girl! Put that strength on page and in person. They way you structured the flow of this piece brings out your resolution to raise. I do not if you can make sense out of the nonsense I said, hmmm but I hope you do.
