Like The birds…

Like The birds…

In this Moment,
I re-affirm to strive;
Flout the ropes,
Holding me back.
Cherish each moment,
Despite the stars-
Falling beside me,
Burning the ground;
So, I ignore them,
And look to the clouds;
Look to the trees,
With birds perching around;
Gaze at the frills,
On their colorful feathers
And awe at the beauty
Which most disregard.

Despite the burning stars,
Falling to the ground-
The birds are unhinged,
And now so am I.

If they can ignore,
the storm in the sky-
Then so can I
Then so will I.

  1. I love this. I happen to enjoy watching storms (from inside–lightning fascinates me: God showing off His fireworks, His power. Let’s see evolution explain that away!), but I had never given thought to either ignoring the storms of life, or embracing them as learning opportunities. Thanks for sharing. Reblogging.

  2. Amazing! You have captured in writing what I have felt but didn’t know how to say. I’ve been ignoring the storm in the sky surrounded by the fire falling all around, but up until now have failed to see the other birds that were sitting next to me πŸ™‚ Thank you for this beautiful expression
